300zx TT HP
I'm looking to buy a used 300zx TT. One that I am interested in has a turbo chip(didn't say what kind), aftermarket exhaust, K&N air filter, and a Stillen Intercooler. What kind of horsepower do you think this car is putting out. Also it has 75K miles on it and he is selling it for 16,000 obo. Is this a good deal and how reliable should it be. Thanks.

Hmm...turbo chip? I have heard of ECU upgrades...but usually chips in Nissan's only remove the speed limiter so that looks like a worthless mod...ask him what "chip" it is. The only reputable ECU is JWT as far as I know...
Ask what kind of exhaust... Stillen intercooler...should be intercoolers (PLURAL)...ask him about that too... What year is this car??? 75K seems not too bad...but 16K maybe a bit high...you have no idea what condition it is in and be wary of people who modify their car...usually means they race/rag the hell out of it. If I were you...I'd look for one w/less miles, for cheaper, and closer to stock. HP w/intake, ECU, exhaust, and upgraded injectors is around 400HP. So if his "chip" is an ECU, and he has an intake, exhaust, and an intercooler...it should be around that...he really didnt need to upgrade the intercoolers...I dont think he's puttin out enough HP to need better intercoolers...but hey...it's good that he did. If you get it....you wont have to unless you go bigger and faster and run hella boost!!! Good luck
