99 Camry interior clock

This may have been covered in a previous post. My interior clock has all but gone out with the noteable exceptions of very cold (frost covered)mornings. When the temperature warms up however, the clock goes out again. A new interior clock costs about the same as a used Miata and the cost of removing the dash is equally as high. Any suggestions???
