cooling fan relay wiring harness information needed

Hi all,

My high speed cooling fan sensor "H272" apparently failed and took part of its wiring harness connector with it. My mechanic replaced the sensor but has been in search of a wiring harness to fix the problem on the connecting wire/connector itself. Does anyone know the part# of this wiring harness or a compatible one? I am in desparate search for this as I need it to get my car functional again. Thanks in advance.

This is for a 1996 Escort. Thanks again.

Just go to a local junkyard and snip off the portion of the harness that you need.... then take it back and splice it together with the rest of your harness.

Supposedly the mechanic whom discovered problem has called all the local junkyards. I'm trying to expand my search via the internet so a part number, actual part name other than just wiring harness, etc would help.

Else I'll have to wander around various junkyards until I find a car like mine. BTW, where would the wire be located? (In case I have to go looking through the junk yard.)

Thanks again in advance.

You can wire in a switch and manual control for the fan for now.Easy.If you have the sensor..houldn't be too hard to splice in and fix this.
Barring this..Mightymoose has it..either you or someone else is going to physically have to go to the bone and get this part.IF this was a new or fairly new vehicle this would be TOUGH!..wiring harness's and parts thereof can be a NIGHTMARE! and WOAH!! expensive..IF you can get the parts.Often ALL that is available is the whole harness or major subsections of it.10 y/o car.Forget it.Often EVEN in the factory manuals at the dealers..a lot of the individual connectors are not listed.I wouldn't waste much time OR get annoyed that the bones can't or won't help ya out.Reason being: THEY go through this stuff ALL the time. They do not inventory this stuff.NEITHER do the interchange people..Hollanders etc.,The bones simply let people..go and hack out what they need. They have no idea what is left.Bonus..they charge next to nothing for this stuff.Best to just phone the biggest wrecker..ask if they have 96 'Scorts..if they do..head out and get the piece.Good luck!
