A RARE UT MODELS mclaren F1 i got in my collection

hello everybody...i wanted to share with you some pictures i took today to one of my mclaren f1 1/18 original from ut models.

i never seen it before, not even in the catalog or ebay, nowhere, i don't know what u think about it, how rare do you think it might be?
thank you and hope u people like it.

as details, look at the Door hinges, they are metallic, they didn't use plastic in this model for the hinges, and also look at the front turning lights, they are put in the correct position as the real one, and someting really kool, look at the interior it also has the left alluminium plaque with some controls (buttons) on it.
also the F1 mclaren badge in the rear has a mettal effect in fact looks different from the Decal the other mclarens have.

thanx for taking a look at this rare model.

hi....yeah i'm sure that's not a repaint, 'casue the XP1 LM letters are on the bottom of each side, like the other mclarens, and also the front logo is in perfect never touched condition.

i bought it in ebay like a year ago....and i saw another one, on ebay like 6 months ago....this one and the one i have seen on ebay are the only ones ever seen....
i saw that Thorst has a Silver XP1 LM, original, that is amazing!! it is the first time i see one, i think that silver and this dark blue are very rares,
we should ask if the silver one Thorst has, have the doors hinge in metal or in plastic, what i'm thinking about the metal hinges for the doors, is that Ut models might have noticed the problem that the door hinges broke to everybody, so before closing, they decided to try doing them in metal.
i don't know i'm just guessing.
if someone knows better about this....welcome to participate..

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? I'm just curious whether or not people don't pay as much for colors like this because they think its repainted or people just don't know how rare it is.

Thanks for taking the time to post these pictures.

Just to let you know, I have one of these as well. I bought it from a fellow in Germany about 5 years ago. Until yours, I have never seen another.

for that one i paid something around 30 euros with shipping included from germany.
it was a very good price...i remeber when i saw it for the first time i looked for it everywhere in the internet to confirm if it really was a true color and also UT models, and it really was.
i would think that it would cost a lot more if i sold it now.
HOPE SO!!! hehehe

The exhaust and the color are not authentic, but it's nice enough. Enjoy it.

Re: A RARE UT MODELS mclaren F1 i got in my collection

The dark blue is very rare and is probably one of those "nowbody understand what UT did models".
Extremely low production ammount and only released in Europe, I know only of the silver who is a rarer UT die cast.
I've only seen one at Hamley's in London in sept 2001, I was thinking of buying it, but ended up with one of the orange ones and a green road car instead!! (Not so smart )
was holding it in my hands but did not buy it because one of the rear wheels looked broken.
And the price was stiff at that time £45!

I had almost belived I did emagine it was dark blue that time because I've never seen anything like it until now.
Great find and actually quite cool!

The silver one does not have metal hinges, but are a litttle different inside than the orange versions.

thorst13: are you talking about a 1/18 silver LM or 'normal' F1 streetcar?
