M3 or no M3?

i am looking to get a new car this month (i have been lookin for a car for a while), but i cannot decide what to get. The m3 is one of my favorite's, but then there are other cars that come into the picture like the infiniti g35 coupe, nissan 350z, toyota supra, nissan 300zx.

of course i am going to get one of those used, but i cant decide.

First of all, are you considering E36 or E46? Both are great cars, but theres a pretty big difference in performance.

Either M3 will handle better then any of the other cars you mentioned, but the E36 won't be as fast in a straight line.

The big advantage that I see in an M3 is the combination of European Styling, a luxury interior, a sport suspention, and a great engine. The Supra, 300zx, and 350z all pale in comparison to the M3 in terms of interior quality and space. The G35c is right between the E36 and E46 as far as luxury goes IMO. The Supra, 300zx, and 350z are all great cars if you're interested in an excellent sports car, sacrificing luxury. The M3s and G35c are great combinations of luxury and sport, I just think that the M3 does a better job of it.

i do agree..there is just something about the m3 that bring all of those car's features into one super car. i will be probably be going for the e46 m3, but i hate the fact that there are no turb charger kits, i guess i will just have to settle for a supercharger.

Well... If your really into turbos you might want to consider finding a nicely used E36 M3, and then buy the Active Autowerke Stage II turbo. They had 450hp at the crank, which would put it about on par with a blown E46 M3, for much less.

KBB Value on an excellent condition 1998 M3 coupe from a private party w/ 70,000 miles is $17,400 + $10,900 for the AA turbo kit puts you at about the base price of a 350z.
