police cars wtf!
everytime i watch cops or a related show on tv i see the kind of cars that they are drivin, like an intrepid or some shitty cars like that. can someone give me a damn good reason y the cops arent givin better rides to defend people and stuff. i mean they are fucking threatin there lives on the spot of action. pursuit or not i think they should be givin top of the line cars. i think a bmw 740il is a good choice but pricey and can be provided by the government or maybe give them tio of the line motor cycles to provide equal speed on the road.
tell me why they get such shitty cars while on duty despite the fact that there is a money issue, tell me someting i dont know plz. what car would u recommend and y? |

the cars they have are pretty much solid all around, so they arent a bad choice. most are upgraded crown vics or intrepids, with some others like camaros and stuff like that. they need reliable, powerful and durable vehicles. i dont really think there is another good choice.

Re: police cars wtf!
yea really have you even driving one of these cars? you have no idea what they are talking about, the crown vics that were used as cop cars are fast already, go buy an ex highway patrol car and you will not complain about it, you think they are shitty but the cars are all around great, esecially in the old days like with the impalas.

Re: police cars wtf!
I don't want to have to pay for BMW 750's. They're soo much more expensive than a Crown Vic.

Re: police cars wtf!
The type of driving you see on TV is so rare these days. I have a friend who's been a Louisiana policeman for 20 years and he's never done one like that. When you weigh the cost of the cars to the taxpayer vs. the amount of time it actually spends above 80 mph, the trade off isn't worth it. Heck, I live in los angeles and we see these pursuits once a week. They are so hyped up on TV with horn and squealing sound effects, but the truth is they rarely get above 80 or 90. If you saw LA traffic you'd understand.
I just feel bad for police driving crown vics 281 ci is not enough torque for those P91s. Talk to almost any cop who's been around long enough and they will say they miss the LT1 caprice and the 318 Diplomat.
