Headliner

Has anyone had any success repairing headliners in '87ish Monte Carlos.
I am thinking I might be able to take it down and use spray adhesive to reattach it.
Does anyone know if they are still available? I am restoring this car.

I have tried that without success. The foam actually rots and the adhiesive won't bond correctly. You can buy new foam backed material from places like Year One. If your headliner board is still in good condition this may be the way to do it. My 86 needs a headliner also and that is what I'm going to try.

Iv'e micky moused mine at times with hat pins coated with clear siclcone this stuff works gerat as a glue on anything.Try getting it off your hands and it will still be there days later.Just coat the pins and stick them in at about a fifteen degree angle about five pins should do the liner.you can get the pins at craft stores in different colors.I tried super glue it holds for awhile but comes loose and you wind up with a 3 inch hat pin in your butt(no fun) its a tempoary fix but dont really look that bad.
