Re: Foreign Policy

Yeah, go US. Let's kill everyone who doesn't agree with slaughtering civilians in the name of "Democracy." Go US!

It is being reported more and more by the news media that Iraqis are very angry with these "foreign infidels" who are attacking and killing more and more Iraqis and Americans "in the name of Allah." Sad to see that the news media did not report it much earlier, but I guess bad news sells better. Most Iraqis see the US as being there to help them isn't "good" for the news media to report on. US foreign policy working isn't "good" for them to report on, either.

Re: Foreign Policy

thats because much earlier the US were killing more than your foreign infidels... hmm infidel meaning unbeliever...

the proportion of ferign involvement in iraq with regard to bombings and attacks is relatively low (provided you neglect the "coalition of the willing") most are carried out by Iraqi's who want to get the 100% foreign occupying force and their puppet government out.

Most of the media is severly restricted in Iraq - remaining within the green zone and relying on the official version of what is happening.

There are very few who are able to move about Bhagdad and the countryside at times. They tell a very different story.

Here's one for example: http://dahrjamailiraq.com/

Personally, I have more faith in the bloggers who live there than I do in the mainstream media.

If you can find an Iraqi blogger that for the most part agrees with the mainstream reports you speak of, please post a link for me.

Yep, that's what today's liberated Iraqis are calling the foreign insurgents -- being there in their own country, they must know what they are talking about.

The Iraqis terrorists you are referring to are the same Iraqis thugs who were once aligned with Gaddam Hussein, who were once in power with their thumbs down on the rest of (large majority) Iraqis. Liberated Iraqis who capture these Baathists involved in the attacks have been beating the crap out of them, sometimes even killing them. Payback's a bitch, ain't it?

Re: Foreign Policy

link please...

i wonder if "payback was a bitch" when the communists overthrew the romanoffs in Russia? the US didn't think so then, in fact they sent troops to fight the new government.

http://www.regiments.org/wars/ww1/russia.htm

troops fighting with the "allied" forces were seen as western puppets and didn't have public support, sounds familiar.

hypocracy.

No arguments here but there will always be one side that welcomes the "allied" forces and another side against.

If you haven't realized it yet, diplomacy and foreign policy are rife with hypocrisy. It's about shifting alliances and animosities, especially in this region. It always boils down to protecting vested interests, that is, global interests and national securities.
