Unsure of engine
Good Afternoon,
An individual I work with, offered to sell me his fox body mustang. I had about 30 seconds to look at the car before I went back to work. It is a hatchback with LX labeling. When I opened the hood, I noticed an inline engine. I didn't have an opportunity to count plug wires. Is this a four or six and what size rear end could this be? He is only asking $500 for the car. Thanks, Erik |

Re: Unsure of engine
If you are considering buying the car, take the time to look at it and ask questions.
Some things to consider mileage tires brakes maintenance history fuel economy suspension etc. |

Re: Unsure of engine
the year makes a difference, if its the nicer looking fox body its new enough to have the 8.8 rear, some older ones had a 7.75, witch sucked balls, once again on the engine, probably a 4, could be a 6 if its older

For 500 bucks how can you go wrong. If you are looking for a swap the motor thats in it dosn't matter anyway.

Re: Unsure of engine
yeah if you buy it your going to want to swap the motor, but no worries cause you can get 5.0's for really cheap.
