1988 Camry Radio.........
i got a 1988 Toyota camry and i was going to hook-up my new headunit and 15" Subs, but the headunit didnt work and so i bought the piece from best buy that hooks up to the factory casseste player and plays cds from a regular cd player but when i was hooking the factory radio back up i rewired everything and connected every neccessary piece and it started back up and was playing like normal, but then when i hooked up the wires and every thing up to the subs i tried the radio again and it didnt work. I checked all the fuses and none of them were broken and so i dont know what to do now.
Got any suggestions on what i should check and or do? |

Are you connecting the subs directly to the radio, because that's what it sounds like you're doing? You need amplifiers to get the subs to run correctly. The radio itself wont have enough power to run the subs.
I have a camry it's hell to hook up a new head unit to it cause the color coding of the stock wiring to the radio. You need one of those things to test which wire is the power, which is ground, and you need to find out what wire goes to which speaker. I had a Haynes manual which helped out a lot. |
