an idiot and his intake

ok this guy i work with is a complete moron (typical ricer with 2001 civic ex) and he's talking to me bout how he's gettin an intake. nothin wrong with that he starts bitchin about how he has to wait forever to get it installed and i'm just like why don't you do it yourself and he proceeds to tell me that he can't becuase they have to remove the reverse sensor to put it in if he had an automatic they wouldn't have to do that but sice he has a standard the have to remove the reverse sensor ..and it plugs into the airbox..now granted i quit paying attention to civic specs when the 01 came out so i just sit there quietly and wonder what in the world he's talkin about so whats the deal is an intake real difficult to put in an 01 civic ex or what i'm thinkin the guys at the shop just see him as a sucker and messin with his head a little bit....thanks for feedback i can't wait to set this ricer straight

Pretty sure it's the same sensor that plugs into the side of my 2000 Civic Si AEM CAI... it's nothing that should stop him from putting it in himself, unless he bought an intake not made for his car and they have to modify the tube. Who knows.
