i agree with the open high way comment
thats how me and my freinds do it (actually a syndicate of us all got bad little getters ) we hit the highway and actually have enough balls to pull off the highway and wait till a clearing of traffic happens thenm we poull out on the highway line them up one of uss honks and we blast off always a rush and actually only lost 1 timwe to a civic gsr swap (actually a stolen motor) and he was toasted by the end of the run and that was in my camaro with a 350 almost stock except intake oil pump and hole ion the hood for the air filter to stick out of .. oh yeah and hei coil and module and all in front of a th400 it was a bad one actually 160+ in a half mile oh yeah and weight reduction out the but and no emissioins dual exaust all done for dirt cheap as in less than 1000 in mods

 87 firebird formula ws6 (currently has a old 78 305 with the following upgrades, including lots of miles and stock heads and internals....oops) crane cam cam specs performance valve springs and retainers, flowtech headers, 255 lph fuel pump, holley 600cfm carb, weiand single plane manifold, a healty diet. 14.90 1/4 mile....just wait for the 406 to be finished MY VIDEOS MY PICTURES -Tom

man thats a shitty deal, i keep waiting for people to wise up and bring back free dragstrips in heavily populated areas. In my experience the main people street race is they have no where else to do it, and the few strips left have strict regs and charge you.
on another note, i almost lost four good friends at the end of school two weeks ago. They were out in an EVO doin 70mph down back windy roads, drifting and driving rally style. Well, they went around one turn and drifted into the oncoming lane, and nailed a 4runner head on. two people are still in critical condition, another has four broken ribs and a broken nose from having his head smashed through the windsheild and his chest on the dash. and the last girl walked away with a concussion. i have a hard time chastizing people about driving dumb cuz ive certainly done it, its just eye opening is all.

true that, i wouldn't street race if there weren't such strick regulation, on top of that it cost too much... if i could go and just run my car for free i would drive the extra distance... in my case it is cheaper to pay tolls and go to a street racing spot and chill with about 100 other cars that are all in the same situation as me...
well, in all honesty, i do get quite a rush when the cops bust the shit up tho... that's definately fun, what can i say, i'm 17, stupid and know it

y is it that the only people on the street racing forum r morons with imports that dont know wut theyre doin and us guys with real vehicles dont street race for the most part? im beginning to notice a distinct connection between idiocy, owning an import, and street racing. u guys should go over to the street racing forum and check out some of the stuff they actually write. i dont wanna provoke them too much without some help from fellow domestic/musclecar drivers, but they really r idiots for the most part. o and i believe its in virginia-i used to live there but im in jersey now, so i cant remember which state it is- that describes street racing as ANY contest of speed between 2 or more vehicles or a vehicle and a clock. so technically whether u exceed the speed limit or not, anytime u try to get from one place to another quicker than ur supposed to its illegal. i think its kinda stupid myself, dont get me wrong, but the man will look for any loophole they can to ticket u for testin ur car's 0-60s lol. seriously tho, id like to see that article put over on the retart forum, cuz its fairly obvious none of them actualy street race
