speedometer not reading

so i had this great idea that i wanted to change my gauges to white faced gauges. it was great, until i tried to drive down the road, and my speedometer didn't move at all. I hear a little whining noise when i am going, and i think thats the gauge trying to spin the needle, but nothing happens. its rather frustrating cause i changed nothing, just put the needle back in. any suggestions would be great, so i will know how fast i am going

You, like most others, broke the speedo when you removed the needle.

wow. to my suprise as soon as i was done posting and calmed my self, I got it to work. I removed the needle and just pushed it in with hardly any pressure. Go driving and it worked. I should have stopped freaking out I guess. Lol. I did try this procedure several times before, but it had no positive results. Thank you guys for fixing it without even telling me anything. I guess you're just that good.
