Hi guys, new to the forums, looking for opinions on short shifters...

I am looking to buy the TWM one (http://www.twmperformance.com) cause of their quality (and free shipping ), anybody have any experience with them? I did some research online and owners were very satisfied with them but I didn't find any comparison to other brands anywhere...

Any input appreciated, thx, car is a 95 Escort GT (X) btw...

man do not buy a short throw i got an idea that will save you lots of money!

when you look at a stock shifter it has a ball on it when you look at a aftermarket shifter the ball is moved up about 1-3 inches depending on throw distance. now hear me out FREE! yes FREE adjustable short throw shifter allready in your escort all you haft to do is adjust it right now you dont understand but when you take out your stock shifter you can see that the ball is not even welded or connected to the shifter shaft all you haft to do is put your shifter in a vice loosley
so the ball is on top of the vice and pound in a downward motion BFH on the threads.

you haft to pound hard to make th ball move after it moves up a lil you can pound a little softer no matter what the ball will not break loose loose from the shifter stick it will just move up as you pound it and the further you move it up the shorter your throw is. i moved mine up about 2 in from where it sat stock my throw is really short trust me dont be suckerd to buying a short throw for 50$+ spend your money on somthing you haft to purchase if you dont want to do this and if you dont like the idea of free stuff a honda 92 civic short throw will fit right in a escort and they cost 9.00$ on e-bay so please tell me what you think or i can send you pictures if you dont think its possible cause it is and its free

ps your knob threads will be junk so buy a aftermarket shift knob set screw type and cut off the dinky small part of the shifter "The Threads" After your done pounding.
