S-10 350 swap
so i have the chance to buy an 85 S-10 with a motor from an 85 vette (me thinks) in it. Now..ive heard it run..and there is a ticking that starts to go away as the truck warms up...could this just be a problem with valve adjustment or much worse? also...is there anything else i should look for? THe quicker i can get answers the better as i would like to get the truck tomorrow if possible..any help would be great..thanks guys

Re: S-10 350 swap
Sounds like a lifter problem. You'd have to remove the intake manifold, and replace the lifters.
You'd have to adjust the valves after that. It could be an exhaust manifold leak to. They often sound like valves ticking. |
