I need Help ASAP
I'am located in Canada and I have a U.S. model 1990 Integra LS 2dr. recentley I have had a problem with my cooling fan. when the car is on and gets hot the main cooling fan does not turn on and when you turn the car off the fan comes on, but it stays on until it drains the battery. The only way to turn it off is to turn on the ignition and then the fan turns back off. My mechanic concluded that it was either a fan timer problem or defective computer sending the incorrect signal or both. We changed the computer but the problem was still there so they concluded that is the radiator Fan Timer. If you say you have not heard of this part I won't be surprised. Its a little black box approximately 3"x2" with a telephone type jack located on it. It is located under the dash on the pasenger side beside the evaporator. I have been told it only exists in Integra's built in Japan (J in the serial#) and only those imported to the U.S. and only on the standard models. Since I live in Canada and my car is from the U.S I'am stuck in terms of finding this part the numbers located on the part are
37740-PR4-A03 (PR4)TL-54 9.6 053 and the name SHINDENGEN if anyone is familiar with this problem or can help me locate this part please let me know please post or e-mail me |

My cousins car had the same problem. It's not just your car. It's probably a defect in the 90-93's. BTW my cousins was also a 90 LS.
