Help! Alarm Still Not Beeping
Okay, I tried to shut all the door, gas cap, hood, and trunk...Yet my alarm is still not beeping. If anyone knows if there is anything else in the car that may keep my alarm from beeping, or maybe a list of things that would stop the alarm from beeping please respond to this..THANKS.

alarm not beeping & remote question
same problem here with my 97 jetta gls. first experienced it when i had my battery changed. then after draining my battery for some unknown reason and jumpstarted it, it beeped again. now, after having one of my headlight bulbs changed, it stopped beeping again. all of my doors/lights are closed/off.
does anyone here also use a checkmate remote? because i have no clue as to what the other 2 buttons are for.

What year car do you have. It will help in determing what the problem is.

My moms had the same problem with her 00 jetta.. hit got hit when we got it back form the bodyshop. none of the alarms inthe car sounded... took it to the dealer.. cost $2000 to rewire the interior.. thank god for insurance
