97 Vette Performance upgrades

I am looking at two performance upgrades sold through Ecklers and was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of them.
1. 1997-1998 VIT Fuel Compensator (adds 18HP). It is supposed to fix fuel/air mixture problems that were built into the 97 Vette. Product is made by Vinci Hi-Performance. Cost is right under $400. Worth any gain in HP?
2. Vette Power Control Module (adds 6-10HP). Just under $300. It gives better throttle response, Hp, etc.
I am running stock exhaust and a K&N dual horn Air filter.

Re: 97 Vette Performance upgrades

IM not an LS1 guy, but......I do know how expensive it is for C5 bolt ons. $700 for $24 hp is alot of dough. And those companies probably dyno'd those parts and a heavily modified motor so the #'s are super optimistic. I think swapping your exhaust system to something free flowing with some long tube 1 5/8" headers would give you some SOTP power. The more you mod, the more tuning you need. Look into hypertech or something similar for a PCM programmer. Then work on a fuel pressure regulator, throttle body swap, cam, heads, intake manifold, injectors, etc. Might also wanna try corvetteforum.com for more answers.
