90 Sable Tranny in 95 Windstar!?
Is this a possible swap? This guy I know has a 1995 Windstar with a 3.8L and the Tranny's gone. I have a 1990 Sable with a 3.8L and my motor & tranny is in excellent working condition and I'm wondering if my tranny will bolt to his motor or not. Any help would be great!

it'll bolt up, but depending on whether the 95 Windstar is OBD1 or OBD2 determines whether it'll run right or not.

ok, I did some research and apparently all Windstars were OBD2, so the sensors from your Sable would be different than the sensors on the windstar transmission. So the answer is that it would bolt up but not work right. You'll have to find a 89-94 Taurus/Sable AXOD-E
