Unfortunately that is not true. The size of the 455 is much greater than that of a 396. You will need to first find out if the 73 Omega came with an option for the Olds 350. If it did than you are on your way. The only real difference between the Olds 360 and 455 is the height. They are basically the same size when measured out side to out side. You will also need to know the year of the 455. These vary greatly as to exhaust setups as well as performance issues. Once he gets the engine info he will need to check one of the actual Olds sites to find out ie: heads, block etc. There might also be an issue with regards to motor mounts. As for A/C, if the car came with it and the 350 was an option that year than more likely than not, the 455 will work without having to remove the A/C. In addition the Omega never could be ordered with 455. It does not bolt in.
