Angry My stang hates me...

Ok, so the ongoing saga of my nightmare of a car... I spent quite a bit of time taking off the front dress on my motor to check and see if my timing chain snapped... no the problem.. chased it down to a fusable link... scary how easy it actually was... Now tht I've put everything back together, when I put the key in and turn it to ON, the injectors start firing, and the tach reads around 900 rpms... but the engine isn't running...

Can someone please tell me where I screwed up my wiring? I need to get the car running, I'm paying for the stall where I work on it...

BTW-90 mustang GT 5 spd, X303 cam, comp cams dual coil valve springs, hurst short throw shifter, FRPP shorty headers. in case any of that matters.

Please help, I'm pretty desperate here...

Re: My stang hates me...

What exactly happens when you start it. Crank, no crank, clicking etc.?

Re: My stang hates me...

Sorry, forgot to add that... Clicks hard, as if the starter were bad... will get that checked out tomorrow when the shop opens, other than that, just some seriously screwy electrical ghosts... I hate renting a stall, gotta work around their schedule and my work schedule.

Re: My stang hates me...

Why did you think the timing chain snapped? Did you do any internal motor work? If so, I would try and turn the motor over by hand with the tranny out of gear and see if it moves over.

Re: My stang hates me...

The timing chain was fine, the internals are fine... this has to be an electrical issue (something is wired wrong, bought the car and underhood is a spiderweb of spliced wires, connections that go no where) I was looking to the timing chain before because the car was running, I was doing break in miles on an X303 cam, and comp cam valve springs (I know it's a roller, and you don't have to, but I prefer safe over sorry), I was gonna do 500 and made ito 474 before it died on me while I was driving and wouldn't restart.

Re: My stang hates me...

So it just clicks when you try to start it? Check the starter like you said, see what happens. Is the fuel pump priming? Also, have you pulled codes?
