Question Replacing y-pipe

I gotta replace it soon there is no repairing it. Shit, sometimes when driving, i get high as a mofo from the carbon monoxide, got a nice size whole in the center of the pipe. The question is, will the Edelbrock Tes headers bolt right up to the fatcory catback i have? Damn replacement y-pipe is almost $150 and for another $170 i can get those headers. Don't wanna waste money on the pipe since i was gonna get them eventually.

Re: Replacing y-pipe

Usually if the headers are made specifically for your application they will bolt right up to your stock I-pipe. Maybe not all the time but for the most part if they are made for your car they should hook right up...

Shoot man, how big is that hole....how did you get it?
Now I see why you recommended the tes headers. Why would you go with them?

I chose these ones because a couple of 3rd gen onwers here have them and got nothing but good results from them. When i bought the car, the guy said it needed some TLC, and he is right so far. Alot of shit gotta get replaced, so i figure since i'm gonna get headers eventually, instead of just buying a replacement y, i'll just buy the damn headers since they will just bolt up to the cat, and they come with a y-pipe.

You could always buy a kit to fix that hole temporarily...better than dying in your own car...lol
