clutch help

hi, Im came from the celica forums becuase no one would help me, and i guess you guys are my only options left because you guys share the same engine. Well my question is if i have a MR2 tranny with a 3sgte swap, do i get the 3sgte clutch and 3sgte plate, or do i have to get the 5sfe clutch with a 3sgte plate?..please help.

Which engine are you using with which tranny?

he is sayin that he has an mr2 turbo engine with a celica tranny. he needs a clutch and does not no if he gets a clutch to match the engine or tranny.

no, i have a 94 celica gt with a celica 3sgte engine and a MR2 tranny and need to know if i need the 3sgte clutch and the 3sgte plate or 5sfe clutch with a 3sgte plate. sorry if i didn't clearify it at first.

were did you buy the tranny from? if its from a na mr2 then you got the 5sfe or 3sge either way it most likely wont be able to handle your engines power for too long. you most likely need 3sgte everything though we have hooked up the original tranny 5sfe with a mrws 3sgte if any of that helps

the tranny is from a 93 mr2 turbo w/lsd. put thanks mr2envy. i'll go find a 3sgte clutch and plate.

yea some of the places sell em with the tranny and some dont but o well glad if i was any help gl!
