2000 Blazer front end problems
I got a 2000 Blazer thats been having a grinding noise that seems to be coming from the front passenger side. I have replaced the drive shaft, hub assembly, idler arm. Still making the noise. It seems to lessen if you turn to the right while driving. If anyone has had this problem or have any ideas any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

yea, it is 4x4, the wheel bearings for the 4x4 are part of the hub assembley so the whole unit must be replaced. Like i had said i replaced the passenger side, and the drivers side was replaced less than a year ago. I have had so many problems with this truck it is rediculous. I should just stay with my older stuff. Other then replacing the hubs again im gonna try rotating the tires, but other than that i am at a loss.

If it gets louder turning left and quieter turning right, that would be the driver's side hub.

Hey Deskbox, I have a 2000 Blazer also and just recently had wheel bearing problems. I had the passenger side replaced in October 2004 and the same one went again in March 2005. I also just replaced my driver side hub assembly for a wheel bearing that showed no signs of this except an aweful rubbing sound. I did read up a little on this and saw that GM redisgned the hub due to this problem. So longevity seems to have little to do with these things.
