Coolant leak around 2nd left manifold bolt.
Recently I have installed a new Edlebrock Performer intake manifold and just today after getting the engine warmed up, I noticed a leak coming around the second, from the front, left manifold bolt. This bolt is located underneath the location-modified EGR valve, and I realized that that was the bolt I probably did not torque down. Can I just torque this bolt down to specs and cure the coolant leak? I really don't want to rip the entire thing off because I've already spent this entire week installing a lot of new parts.

Re: Coolant leak around 2nd left manifold bolt.
You can't hurt anything trying.
Use some RTV sealant to the threads before you install it. This is probably the step that you missed Then re-torque the entire manifold if possible. There is a chance that you missed others |

I should have said, you'll want to drain the rad so the coolant level is under the level of those bolts.
Then dry the threads as much as possible with a rag. There is more than 1 manifold bolt sticking into the water passage, and this should be done to all of them to avoid leaks |

You also have to torque them in the right order, and since some of them are going into the water passage you have to use some RTV sealant on some of their threads. |
