Re: need engine help with ka 240

it sounds like the injector is bad!! if its sparking, there's only one other thing its missing, fuel. the injector just died...

try finding one in a junkyard and pop it in, should be $20 or so.

Re: need engine help with ka 240

do a simple test:

get a screwdriver or similiar, put one end on the top of the injector and the other end to your ear. do that for every injector.

each injector should have a noticeable tick/pulse.

very quick way to see if an injector is working.

Re: need engine help with ka 240

^Yea. Works great!

Yes there are two. One you should damn near be able to see with the injector on the fuel rail. Its right below the plastic top. Then the other is right above the bottom of the injector. Both rubber. One small, one big. And even the smallest little cut will cause a waterfall of gas into the combustion chamber. Lube them up really well when you install it or they will rip very easily. I ordered a couple extra when I had a lower o ring failure. Then I ordered a few more sets for my 615s. Can never have enough.lol

Also test impedence on the injector. Should be ~11ohms. Good luck.

ok, about the injector test. how exactly do i do it. do i leave the clip on the top of the injector, and put the other end to my ear... but where do i put the screwdriver? i figured the only way i could hear a noise is if the car was on aux or something, but then gas would come out, lol.. not good. or do i take the injector all the way out or what, i'm so lost, i'm about to pop it back out and check those o-rings again, and look for that second one. thanks, i'm about to loose my mind..

Re: need engine help with ka 240

Yea, just use WD40 or engine oil. I soak them in an oil container cap of oil while I do other things prior to install.
