Location of Air Temp Sensor and IAC?

Does anyone have a pic or is willing describe to me the location of the air temp sensor and idle air control valve on a 97 SC2? If the air temp sensor is where I think it is do you have to remove the intake manifold to actually remove it?

Thanks,

Mike

intake air temperature sensor is on the air box. i believe the front of it, cant remember since my stock air box is gone. now going from many other cars, again i dont remember exactly where the iac is at, but its on the throttle body and i think its the top one if there is a top sensor. on the side of the throttle body should be the tps sensor.

the IAC will have two or four wires, the TPS will have three, they are both on the backside or the throttle body.

I could never find the IAT sensor either. It is supposed to be on the air box/snorkel. The IAC valve is located to the rear of the throttle body. It is held on by 2 torx screws that face the firewall. I took the TB off rather than risk loosing the screws when I went to clean the TB and IAC. Glad I did too. It was so much easier to see inside the IAC port to be sure it was clean. The TPS sensor is located directly over the butterfly pivot. IAC

These are off a '96 SC2, but they should be identical,
Had the parts and a camera laying around, so...
If a picture is worth a thousand words heres a few thousand words

IAC (idle air control) Valve, Both pics are with the TB upright

Intake Air Temp. (IAT) sensor, its removed but thats where it goes

Ahh said the blind man to his deaf daughter. thanxs for the pixs also.

If you pull the IAC don't lose the little $11.25 dollar o-ring. Dealer only item.

No Prob.

True that,
Also be careful with the TB gasket and you can reuse it,
Its like $13, special order from Auto Zone,
