rear end ratio for a T-56 F-body 4 200mph?

4th Gen F-body w/M6 will the 3.73 or 4.10 allow the car to exceed the 200mph mark? currently im running the 3.43 hitting 90mph @ 2000 in 6th
and 155mph @3000 hitting the gov. the rev limit is 6300 so 200 isnt a problem with the current setup so which if not both would work thanks.

Re: rear end ratio for a T-56 F-body 4 200mph?

If you could pull 6000rpm in 6th gear, you'd have a topspeed of 223mph.

But, that's not calculating all forms of drag. I'd say 160-170mph tops.

Looking at Bonneville type cars, you'd need at the very least 800hp to break the 200mph barrier.

Re: rear end ratio for a T-56 F-body 4 200mph?

I hit my speed limiter easily and very oftenand still have tons of power....i did find a site with a calulator for entering trans gear ratio, rpm, tire and rear for an estimated speed and got 281.4 on a couple different sites...258.38 w/3.73 and 234.49 w/4.11....the cars that are in question are having a short distance to accomplish this where as the races im looking at are at the most 100 to 130 miles in length, so that is plenty of room to break the 200mph mark without 800hp...I only have 411 currently and the car just screams to go faster...guess I need a handheld to remove the limiter and well see what she can do
