RK Sport Dual Exhaust System

I am getting the RK Sport dual exhaust system for my 2000 2.2 Cavy. I was wondering if I hsould get a new cat also. How about a new header? Does anyone have this and know if it sounds good and is decently loud? I want a loud exhaust.

If you have the means, definately go header back. High-flow cat too. As much power as you can scrape together! I don't have it, but I have heard the RK exhaust, and it sounds okay.

Re: RK Sport Dual Exhaust System

the sounds will all depend on what they have in there. A new header will make it much louder than before. SO i would also suggest a resonator. But yea new header, larger exhaust piping, high flow cat, stiffer motor mounts, resonator, and new muffler. The duels are going to do much peformance wise, its more for looks on our cars.

So if I got the dual exhaust, it would increase my performance?

I already have the header, hi-flow cat, and resonator.

Wher else could I get a dual exahust system? I wonder if the exhaust pros around the area could do it?

Re: RK Sport Dual Exhaust System

Cody made a typo-

The duals will NOT add performance. If anything, you will lose performance from the added weight. And you can get a dual exhaust system at any place that does custom exhausts. I have a Magnaflow Camaro-style single inlet, dual outlet muffler, So I have duals with one muffler. I think the duals make it sound much better than the single. I know cuz I have plugged up one side before.
