VE to VG swap...straightforward swap?

OK, since this 92 SE has 200k, and the local salvage yard has a good VG30 engine and tranny, ECU, harness, (and anything else I need), I would like to know if this is a bolt up swap. It is too difficult finding VE parts for cheap here and I am willing to put the work into it.
Can someone provide a link if it has been done (or reverse procedure of VG to VE)
Thanks

Dunno about the writeups, surely exists...

isn't the VE the 190 hp motor? you don't want to get rid of that.

Re: VE to VG swap...straightforward swap?

Oh...I should have said that besides the transmission being shot, the engine is acting up also. The car is not mine, it's a friends, and I am fixing all the little things. However, I have driven a 5-sp VE and enjoyed it, but this car is for a chick with no interest in the performance...just wants to get from A to B in her black on black Maxima. Therefore, I just would like to put in a VG (if possible) since parts are everywhere.
