1989 750IL Should I buy?
I am considering purchase of a 1989 750IL with 76,000 miles, verified.
Car is mint. Bottom line is I don't have any experience with 12 cylinder engines. Am I getting into a potential money pit? I want this to be a casual daily driver, mostly interstate and country roads. Any "heads up" as to potential problems would be appreciated. Thanks RN |

Re: 1989 750IL Should I buy?
If it comes with full service history and the undercarriage is bone dry I would go for it. The V12s are very reliable if they are serviced and treated right. Make sure the temp gauge is right at 12 and does not change even after idling for a while.
Go to e38.org and then click on E32 for more info on buyer's guide. |
