96 Jimmy SLT eletric problems?

I recently had my starter replaced, and now I no longer have dash lights, & my 4WD is not lite & does not work. The dome light & stereo clock light work, but stay brite b/c the dimmer does not work. I checked for related posts, but could not find anything related. Thanks in advance for any help.

Brian.

Re: 96 Jimmy SLT eletric problems?

If the problem started when you put the new starter on I would check and make sure it was installed right. I had a friend that had his starters groung whire and positive whire on the same post. I don't know how it worked, but it caused some strange problems. My starter on my jimmy is messing up to. it's sounds like it dosent want to engage all the way when I start the car. it's a really fast clicking noise, anyway clean up your batery terminals it might help.
