Engine bay work
Finished up a little more of my engine bay work this afternoon. Figured I would share a few pics.
When I decided I was going to replace the old stock plugs and wires with some new NGKs I figured that would be the best time to do some cosmetic work as well. So, I ordered all new gaskets and some polishing supplies. I still need to do some plenum polishing...it isn't quite as shiny as I was hoping to get it. But I was running out of time before I needed the car to get to work. =/

Nice valve cover, polishing that thingis turning out to be a bitch, soo hard to get the pits out of the nooks.

Looks good bro. You're using the same theme that I'm planning to use....blue, chrome, and of course all the black stuff.
Good job!-By the way, what kinda intake system do you have? Is the pipe from 3sx or something off ebay? |

Using a Bomz intake body and a Ralliart filter. I got them both offf of Ebay.

Have you found an easy way to flatten out the pits while polishing up the aluminum?

I used Dupli-color Metalcast to paint the valve cover after it was sand-blsted and cleaned.
Then I used Testors paints and a brush to paint the letters and Mitsu diamond. Thourun: Try a sandblaster. It is going to ruin the polishing you have already done. But taking the time with the blaster should get the metal worked down to even out the pits. Then repolish.
