98 Tacoma 2.4L deckplate mod...
Has anyone ever tried to do the deckplate mod on a 98 Tacoma 2.4L? If so, how did it turn out? I've been thinking about doing this for sometime now, but I know that the intake box is slightly different for the 2.4L vs the 2.7L.

If its different enough to cause concern, you could get a smaller deck plate. Some people (my roommate) are so impatient they just drill holes in the air box.

Did it on my v6. It is awesome. Though you can't tell any hp gains. my gas mileage went up 1-3 and it sound sweet when I stomp on the gas. You end up purchasing more filters cuz way more debris ends up there. Might try an air hog, k&n, or cleanable filter. I just replace mine at every oil change. They might be cheaper at the dealership then oriely
