dashboard and headlights sun damage
I saw someone posted a question about sun damaged dash boards on GEOs in an unrelated thread so I'm posting it here since I have the same question.
My dash is starting to get a lot of discoloration from the sun and I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a cleaner that will remove it? Do those "dash matt" carpet like covering fit on GEOs? I'd hate to resort to one of those but the sun damage is really aging the look of the car. I unfortunatly don't have my own parking space so the car is in the sun a lot, I use a sunshade but it can only do so much. I also have the same problem with the plastic on my headlights. It has become foggy and brownish over the years due to the sun. Someone recommened a clear plastic headlight cleaner but that did not help much since the damage looks like the plastic has a lot of micro-cracks in it, although I can't tell if they're actually cracks or just burnt in grit. I have heard that metal cleaners do the trick, anyone know? Is it cheap just to replace the headlights with new ones? Thanks!

Re: dashboard and headlights sun damage
I have the same problem. The plastics on my headlights look really bad and fogy. I looked for new ones but they are pretty expensive.
