Or it could be the drive belts. The belts seem to stick better when they warm up. I'd look into it if you haven't changed them in a while.

it's your belts buddy!

check to make sure your not leaking coolant either....usually the sound happens when your water pump goes, and coolant gets all over your belts. It happened to mine, and screeched all the time...it would only happen when i warmed up the car though...

Wink

I have the same problem after my friend changed my crank and H2O pulleys w/ UR S. It sounds like the noise is getting louder and longer..., then it stayed quite when the engine is warmed up. I never had that problem before my friend installed the UR pulleys. After the new pulleys were installed, I checked the way the pulley spins and I noticed that the H2O pump pulley turns a little bit off center. It took my friend and his partner to fit that H2O pump pulley because the center hole won't fit right. His partner had to file the hole a little bit. The four bolts were thightened good, but what does anyone think about that bit off center spin? Is it harmful to the engine or to the water pump?
Please let me know as soon as possible because I'm using the G20t
as is.

Thanks folks in advance.

That's right ishy! As I mentioned from my last post, the problem that I had was loose belts. I had to do it myself yesterday, because my regular mechanic couldn't accomodate me yesterday morning. Well, first of all that squeeling noise was so annoying and embarrassing! Anyway, I jack up the passenger side of my G20. Removed the tire. Removed the side cover that protect the crank pulley. Check under the engine compartment and what do you know? My friend forgot or did not tighten one of the screws that holds the alternator. It was loose!!! I tighten it. The belt was a little bit loose too, so I tighten it. I thighten the belt from P/S. Started the car..., there you go, I freakin fixed the problem myself and I'm proud of it. Well, I said to myself to wait 'till the next day if I really fixed the sqeeling noise. What do you know? I really freakin fixed the noise!!!
The noise did not comeback! Also, my G20t feels like it has more power and strong now, unlike a week ago, it feels weak. Thanks to my courage to get under my G20t and solve the freakin problem myself.

If you believe in yourself..., everything is posssible!!!

That's excellent! Next stop, doing your own oil changes. You'll be swaping engines in no time.

Thumbs up

Thanks G! Changing oil is no sweat, but..., the last time I changed my oil, tightning the oil filter gave me some hard time. I tried those thing that attached on the butt of the filter, but the metal thing that sort of protecting the filter was kind of obtrusive. The wrench wouldn't fit. I think the best thing to tighten it is to use an oil filter clamp wrench. What ever you want to call it. What do you suggest G?

Thanks for the encouragement!!!

Congrats on tackeling your problem your self.!!

On the oil filter, I just hand tighten it, but ive got strong hands from...uh..."recreational" activities....hahah...no really, getting it on as tight as you can with your hands seems to work well for me, and thats with about 20 or so changes...no leaks so far.
