I recently brought home an '82 Prelude 1.8L CVCC, 5 speed from California. I did drive it some, maybe 100 miles total, after it got here. Everyting aside from the motor was fine. It has been in storage since September, awaiting a new engine. The last time I got in it and started it, the "brake" warning light wouldn't go out. I didn't drive it as it has no tags or insurance, but did move it a very short distance. There's no fluid leaking (that I saw) and the pedal feels normal.
Could it be the sharp change in humidity/temp. affected something? It's stored in South Cental Indiana, by the way. Would bleeding the system help maybe? Thanks in advance. |

dont kill yourself
I wouldnt go as far as bleeding your system. Start with the easy stuff first. Find out where the brake light switch is. Should be near the e-brake lever or some where along the cable line. Could just be a stuck part that needs lube.
good luck |
