1989 Mazda 626 2.2L Non-Turbo Problem
Ok, here's the problem. When I start my car, it starts to shake. It is sluggish when I start to go, until about 4k RPMs. When it shifts it has the problem again. When I hit about 40mph it shakes violently. This happens around 40, and not over or under. Can anyone help me?!?!

Car shaking: May be the motor and/or transmission mounts. I just had mine replaced. Sluggish at low revs: Have you done a tune-up, replacing all filters that were necessary? I hope things work out for you! I've spent about $1,500 since buying my 1990 626 used in 2000. Taarik. |

Re: 1989 Mazda 626 2.2L Non-Turbo Problem
check the EGR valve to make sure its not stuck open. if it is stuck open it will be circulating exhaust gases into the intake manifold at idle and low rpm which it isn't supposed to do, which might cause the rough idle and sluggish to start off with. its only supposed to be open at low cruising speeds.
