I have a 1994 celica, and I was wondering if it is possible to swap engines with the 2000+ celica GTS engines, which is a 2ZZGE. I know these engines are also in the Matrix XRS. If it was possible, would it be worth it? Im looking for a way to increase my fuel economy and power, and that engine seems the way to go, but would it end up costing me so much, i'd be better of buying a newer celica?

If you really want a 2zz, it'd be better to just find a used 7th gen. If you just want more power, swapping a 3sgte would be the easiest/cheapest/most potential.

yea i would agree with ST, you can get great MGP and still whip out a 160hp.
