92 accord dx good car ??

my son recently bought 1992 accord dx. are they good cars on the average?? what can he expect?it has 5 speed with 85000 miles . thanks for any advice.

Sure it's a good car - compared to what?

The only thing that strikes me is that the mileage (if it is true) is VERY low for a '92.

At 85K miles it is just about time to change the timing belts and water pump and other seals behind the timing cover. This is recommended/required at 90K. Failure to perform this maintenance item can be very expensive. Check the trunk for water, if you find any, it probably coming the tail light seals. They are easy to pull and reseal.

yes, all those model accords with that low of mileage should be in tip top shape, but the only thing that might get annoying to him is the crank windows and power seat belts, but im sure he wont mind it that much.
