can anyone tell me what there they think is wrong with my car

My car is a 2002 grnprx it has 84thousand miles on it,the car does not want to change gears it sounds alfull not like it did a month ago.The car will skip and jump like a vacume line is stuck.I have changed the fuil fillter,oil,air fillter.Before I did that the car was just hesatating and skiping,now the car barly changes gears it will only go in to second.Check enege gage lite is on. The trans fuil has been changed because of a line poping off,but the filter has not been changed ever!!!! I was told that my car may not run at all if I change my trans filter. can some one please give me some addvice.Took the car to Auto Zone to have them hook it up to the computer,but there computer was broke.
