Shaved doors and Alarm

Is it possible to combine a shaved door kit, with an alram with an unlock and lock feature? Would i first unlock the doors, and then use another button to release the latch. Some say to keep the locks unlocked so you dont get stranded outside your car. I dont know if this will be safe, wut do u guys think. Oh and one more thing, would i still be able to use my interior door handles to open the door after they are shaved?

Yes to all of your questions. I however, don't recomend using the power locks. Seriously, why would you want to? It works much better to just use the poppers without the locks. That way when you hit the disarm, it will pop open the driver's door. Otherwise you'll have to disarm it then press another channel to pop it.

I have manual, not power door locks,
So I didn't think that I could do this to my car,
But thats a good point, even if its unlocked its not like someone can come up and try the handle

Where is the cheapest place to get an actuator, or whatever so I can do this?

Re: Shaved doors and Alarm

just disconnect the power door locks
why lock the door when no one can get in duhhh
yes you still use your inside handle
you should have a back up system
i used a bike brake cable clamped to the inside cable on the actuator and ran it to the inside fender..so when i would get stuck outside i would move the plastic inside the fender wheel well and give it a yank
