Trunk Light

Where is the light in the Trunk located in a 1999 SE Sedan? I looked everywhere in the trunk and I can't find it. The light does not come on so I want to know if it is burnt out or what.

I don't know where it is, but there is a chance that you just need to lubricate the latch and work it a few times. It may be stuck.

I'm pretty sure the light would be were the trunk is attached to the car/

My vehicle is a Gen4 but in my trunk the light is on the passenger-side trim very near the back of the trunk with a white cover--right next to the fuel pump shutoff switch.

I have a 1999 Taurus SE and it's not there. And it's the same way with my friends. I think it may be a Gen3 thing.

Open the trunk and look directly in the center. It us under the place where the brake light is.

Thanks everybody, I was out of town last week so I did not check it yet. I will check it today and see if I can find why it is not comming on.
