I have a 1995 LeSabre with the TPI 3.8L engine and from the sticker underneath the hood it says it is OBDI certified. Inside the car though it has a OBDII 16 pin connector.... Does anyone have any ideas on how to connect a scanner cable up to it to read it's data output? Or might someone know what type of computer it has.. Supposedly it uses the A221 Data Protocol.

I have the same OBD-I setup on my '94. You need a OBD-I scanner with the 16-pin OBD Cable.
I got an Auto XRay brand OBD-I scanner with the GM 16-pin OBD-II cable and it works just fine. Hope this helps. |
