1998 Jetta GLS
I just bought a 1998 Jetta GLS and was wondering how to find out if it has keyless entry. It has an alarm system and pwr door locks, and all of the '98 GLS I've seen have had it.

It should be pretty obvious if it's got keyless entry. And yes, it should have it if it's the original alarm system. I drive a 98 GL. The alarm remote is shaped kind of funny with the big VW symbol. Was an aftermarket alarm installed, without keyless entry?
Or did you not get a remote with the car?

Hi! Unfortunatly, I didn't recieve a remote with the car. I got a really good deal on it and never thought to ask about the keyless entry. Do you mind sending me a pic of the remote? or the serial numbers on the back? My e-mail is [email protected]. Thanks for your help.
