2002 sunfire wont start

My 2002 sunfire was woking fine last night. Then this morning when i tried to start it for some reason it would not start. The accessories work fine the windows work, lights turn on. I'am a girl so I dont know much about cars. Could it be the starter? PLEASE HELP! THANKS

Did the engine try to start like always but did not start? Or did the starter just click or do nothing? If the engine turned over like normal and did not start then the fuel pump may have gone bad. Happens that way sometimes. If the car didn't turn over and the starter just clicked it is probably the battery or a battery cable. If it is a battery cable you can check the connections by opening the hood and just turning them by hand where they connect to the battery. If the cables are loose then use a wrench to tighten them this may cure the problem entirely.

if the car turns over and still doesnt start, then what it could be is pontiacs horrible abortion of an antitheft system had mine cut out and now it works
