93 buick skylark 3.3 v6

abs check light came on and engine dies when im slowing down. like it couldnt put the lower gear. it also shuts sometimes when i accelerate too fast. i disconnected the wire(overdrive) in front of the transmission and it didnt help. what kind of trans i have? i dont know what to look for on the junk yard. someone bought a solenoid or something from junk yard but i dont even know how does it look like.help
