1986 c10 chevy gauge fuse problems

All of a sudden I started to blow the fuse for the dash gauges. Does anyone know where I should start to trace wires, and also would like to know if fuel gauge still works even with fuse blown, like maybe it has its own circuit or something. I would appriciate any assistance.
