A'PEX Super Ground: Worth It?

I was curious about the A'PEX Super Ground kit. Here is the link to the website that claims it made an 8hp gain on a WRX. http://www.apexi-usa.com/news.asp?ID=62
I had been told before that grounding kits were not worth the money but those kits were mostly developed by no name companies. Would a grounding kit be useful for the Prelude? I searched previous threads and no one has really voiced an opinion on the issue. I know that gains of 8hp are not realistic but I wouldn't mind anything that would make my engine run smoother. The approximate retail cost is around $200.

I was thinking about a ground kit too, so I'd be interested to see what other have to say too. I've heard like maybe a 2hp gain, but I've heard that it just stabalizes your whole electical system.

I'm guessing the lack of responses means that no one has a grounding kit on their car. That being the case, it must mean that this upgrade really isn't impressive since no one even bothered to buy one.

i've heard major smack about grounding kits. not that one in particular, but a similar product. i think the exact statement was "it's a part sold for the person with too much money, that needs everything possible for there car."

spend the 200 on "completing" your i/h/e upgrade

I definitely will be. One more paycheck and I finally will be getting my Apexi WS. Gah, I can hardly wait. Thanks for putting your opinion in about the grounding kit. I had pretty much given up hope about ever getting a reply from someone.

Re: A'PEX Super Ground: Worth It?

personally i really dont think that grounding kits are worth it unless you can get a hold of a dyno. if you buy a grounding kit and put it in you are not sure on whether or not you have good grounding points. but with a dyno you can see if you have good points and make adjusments if needed so you can get the most out of the kit. i dunno thats just my opinion.
