major problem?

i have a 1997 a4 w/1.8t. Recently when i accelerate, a display pops up and it looks like an errupting volcano. i dont know where my owner's manual is, but my car still runs fine. If anyone can tell me what that display means, it would be appreciated.

yeah the warning light is low washer fluid from how you describe it. it may go one and off when you accelerate because it moves around and it trips the sensor. just try adding more washer fluid and see if it goes away.
